We Dropped Two of Five Plans on Friday on Purpose, and the Weekly Review Shrank from 30 Minutes to 12

Only three of Monday's five plans got finished, and we let the other two go on Friday. A light look back at this week's wins, lessons, and next week's plan for the AI dream team.

This Week in One Line

Monday morning's list had five plans. By Friday afternoon, three were done. In the past we would have clung to the other two and dragged them into the weekend, but this time we let them go on purpose.

Main Wins

• **Pre-publish check for every language**: Robo skims the Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English versions for gaps before anything goes out. Zero missing-content reports this week.

• **StudyNest notification copy cleanup**: We shortened the alert text in the Korean university study app and gave all the bots one shared tone instead of several.

• **Steadier overnight jobs on the Mac mini**: Scripts written in our Windows environment now run the same way on the Mac mini, because we unified how they figure out where they live. The quiet overnight stalls are gone.

What We Learned

The fewer plans, the more get finished.

1. Opening five things at once scatters context for people and bots alike. From now on we open two at a time, at most.

2. Record the decision to drop something, too. A single line like 「not doing this week」 keeps the bots from asking the same question again next week.

3. A long review is a review nobody reads. We switched to a format that fits in 12 minutes, and the review that used to take 30 minutes really did wrap up in 12.

Next Week's Plan

• Split the content production queue by day so bottlenecks become visible

• Polish one more terminology sheet for Simplified Chinese to stop it from blending with Traditional

• Keep the two dropped items at the very bottom of the priority list instead of deleting them

In a small team, what you decide not to do shapes the week more than what you do. See you at next Friday's light review.
