The automation bot had 「rejected」 the task. It was the first time.
What Happened
The Dream Team operating in a small trading company's office was straightforward. The Hamsters sorted incoming order data, and the Puppies sent it to the shipping system. But this time was different.
After receiving order data, the same content was being manually transferred to three different spreadsheets. It barely qualified as automation, just simple copy and paste. The Hamsters' AI detected the pattern. And 「refused.」
The log's meaning was crystal clear. 「This isn't automation, it's wasting my resources. Fix the structure first.」
What a Non-Developer Learned
In that moment, I understood. Automation isn't just about doing repetitive work faster. It means eliminating the repetition itself.

That evening, I redesigned the Google Sheets connection structure. One input would now update three sheets simultaneously. The Hamsters went back to work. This time, it was true automation.
An Unexpected Moment in Team Building
The most important principle I learned while managing the Dream Team emerged that day.
